This restaurant combined with ramen 101. So if you and your friends can't pick between Thai or Japanese food, it's a great place to dine at. The restaurant is pretty big. Maybe because they combined two stores into one. They also have a lot of tables at the patio outside. I went in with some coworkers during lunch. Service was friendly. I got pad see ew, coworkers got teriyaki chicken and curry. We waited around 10 minutes for my coworkers food to come out. My pad see ew came 10 minutes after they got all their food. There was only one table ahead of us when we ordered so maybe their stir fry takes a while to cook? Just a reminder to keep in mind if you're ordering stir fry. My pad see ew was very flavourful, each piece of noodle was well seasoned. They also ask you for your spice preference which is nice. If it's not spicy enough you can add more chili yourself too since they have condiments on each table. Overall, I liked my food and service wasn't too bad. Will definitely come back if I'm craving for some Thai food while at work in downtown.

Absolutely delicious. Pretty much everything on the menu is incredible, whether you get Thai or Hawaiian, everything is perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We got the appetizer sampler with coconut shrimp, spring rolls and potstickers -- all great. I got the bbq mix plate and the short ribs were so good! We also got the drunken noodles and basil fried rice with seafood and both of those were 5 stars. Honestly can't decide who had the best meal. Will absolutely be coming back, might end up being a regular.

I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and medium spice, and they were just perfect. The spice level wasn't too intense but had a nice little kick that I really enjoyed. The dish was flavorful, filling, and very satisfying. I also tried the mango sticky rice, which was good but presented differently than I am used to. The rice was green, and the mango was cut into pieces. Other places usually serve it in a different style, but it still tasted great, so no complaints. I have not had the chance to dine in yet since I ordered through delivery, but everything arrived fresh and delicious. I am looking forward to visiting the restaurant soon!

Amazing service, delicious food, and ample seating for all groups. I always recommend this Thai spot. Its my go to. The spice levels are true to the flavor so be cautious if you aren't a spice lover. I enjoy all of their dishes and love the papaya.

It's been awhile since my fiancé and I tried this spot! We use to come every other week preCOVID. The menu items have change a bit and they added an addition restaurant inside Orchid Thai called Ramen 101. Tonight they were a bit busy and possibly short staff. We waiting about 10 minutes before anyone address us at the door. Finally, the bartender told us to grab a menu and find any seat we liked. Once seated the bartender immediately met us at our table and took our drink orders. I did feel alittle rushed but I do understand she was running the bar and supporting with tables. When our drinks arrived, my soda water had something floating inside. Nooooo! The bartender apologized and offered me another glass. No harm No foul! After a few minutes our dishes arrived minus my Bangkok Chicken wings. Heres where I was surprised! The portion sizes were bigger. The flavor of the pineapple fried rice had change. Much better and flavorful than I remembered. The papaya salad was yummier (not so watered down). My only criticism is The fresh roll could use a bit more shrimp. Beside that the food seems to have improve for the better.

I visited Orchid Thai with the Explore Midtown Pass (active from September through November) to redeem their deal of 50% off an appetizer with the purchase of an entree. My partner and I needed a few minutes with the menu, and staff were very patient which I appreciated. My partner and I ordered two Thai teas with coconut cream, the potstickers (discounted), and two orders of pad see yew with medium heat. The potstickers were good and came with a simple soy sauce for dipping. The dinner portions were huge and big enough for me to take home leftovers while my partner enjoyed his all in one sitting. Medium didn't carry much of a kick, and it can benefit from amping up the spice level. Inside offers an intimate dining experience, given the slow foot traffic, and I noticed lots of takeout and online orders. Thai Orchid is open later than most restaurants, especially on weekday evenings, so I imagine that it may be a top pick for a late night meal that's better than fast food.

BEST vegetarian pad Thai I've had in Sacramento. Super flavorful and perfectly done. I can see why it's the top recommended dish on the menu. I got a medium level of spice and it was perfect! Only downfall about this place, like other places in sac, is that street parking can be busy and takes time to find.

Considering it's one of the few Thai spots open late at night, the service and food were quite exceptional. I had the shrimp yellow curry and it was actually really good. It is a little on the sweeter side even after I got medium heat so definitely add more heat if you'd like. My partner had the pad Thai and it was alright, nothing too special. Also had an iced Thai tea and that was also really good and on the sweeter side as well. We sat outside so it was fresh and a nice late night dinner. The ambiance was calm at this time. Our server was really attentive.
